Energy Efficiency Surveys in Lancashire

Want to cut energy bills, improve your EPC rating or plan upgrades with confidence? An energy efficiency survey looks at how your building actually uses energy and gives you a clear, costed plan for improving it. Surveys are carried out by a Level 4 Non-Domestic Energy Assessor, accredited with Elmhurst and ECMK, with over 8 years in the energy efficiency sector.

Commercial Energy Survey & MEES Upgrade Plan

If you let commercial property, the rules are tightening. The minimum rating is currently E, and the Government has confirmed plans to require EPC B by 2031 for larger let buildings. A MEES Upgrade Plan uses the same SBEM model behind your EPC to test which improvements will get your building to the rating you need, so you can budget properly and avoid wasted spend.

What you get:

  • A review of the building fabric, heating, cooling, ventilation, hot water and lighting

  • Modelled upgrade options showing the rating each one achieves

  • Indicative costs, so you can see the cheapest route to E now and B in future

  • A plain English report you can share with your accountant, agent or contractor

Prices:

  • MEES Upgrade Plan added to a commercial EPC: from £350

  • Standalone commercial energy survey, up to 500 m²: from £495

  • Standalone commercial energy survey, 500 to 2,000 m²: from £895

  • Larger or more complex buildings: quoted individually

Home Energy Survey

A home energy survey goes much further than an EPC. I spend time in your home looking at how it is heated, insulated and used, then give you practical recommendations ranked by cost, savings and payback, so you know what is worth doing first.

The survey covers:

  • Heating system, controls and hot water

  • Loft, wall and floor insulation

  • Draughts, ventilation and damp risk

  • Windows, doors and lighting

  • Your energy bills and usage patterns

  • Suitability for solar PV, battery storage and heat pumps

Prices:

  • Home survey with action plan (up to 3 bedrooms): £295

  • Home survey with full written report (up to 3 bedrooms): £450

  • Each additional bedroom: +£50

Add-ons

  • Drone roof and exterior inspection: +£75. Aerial photos of roofs, chimneys, gutters and hard-to-reach areas, flown by a CAA-registered, insured operator.

  • Thermal imaging: coming soon. Infrared images that show exactly where heat is escaping.

How it works

  1. Get in touch with a few details about the property and what you want to achieve.

  2. Survey visit. I visit at a time that suits you, usually within a week or two.

  3. Your plan. You receive your action plan or report, and I am happy to talk it through.
